The Horny Toads

Bob began drum lessons at age 7 but grew weary of practicing the monotonous rudiments. He switched to trumpet to follow in his grandfather's footsteps who played cornet with such greats as John Phillips Sousa. He eventually returned to his first love - the drums - and at last realized his dream of playing in a kick ass rock band. A graduate of Kansas State University, Bob immigrated here from Kansas several years ago to eventually become a proud Oklahoman and an engineer in the flight safety industry. He resides in Broken Arrow with his wife, sons and too many creatures to list here.

Raised all over the country as an Air Force brat, Keith settled in the Tulsa area eventually as a pre-teen. Involved in several band projects through high school, he played his first paying gig at age 15. After graduating from Broken Arrow , OK High School, a brief interim at college in Florida eventually found him back in Tulsa sharing a cramped apartment with fellow Toad Jeff James. Keith played in Tulsa 80's bands Millionaire and The Jesters as well as road work with Little Rock based No Sweat, eventually settling down to raise a family and writing and recording as Keith & Jeffman through the 90's. He currently owns and operates Tulsa Signs here in Tulsa as well as recording and performing with The Toads - and lives in Broken Arrow with his wife , daughters and Labradors.

Originally from Missouri but moved to Tulsa area when young, Jesse attended and graduated Broken Arrow High School here in Oklahoma. He sang in high school bands and excelled in his graphic art, winning awards as cartoonist and illustrator for the school newspaper. A short stint in college at Oklahoma State University eventually left him scratching out a living in Tulsa. Jesse worked in various fields including graphic illustration, again winning awards for advertising design here in Tulsa. He was also lead singer for Tulsa based band The Jesters along with future Toad Keith Hough during the 80's and wrote and recorded as Keith & Jeffman through the 90's, in the interim marrying and raising a family. He now resides in Broken Arrow with his wife and sons - and having recently left a 20 year career with a Tulsa distribution firm, he now runs his own home renovation business - allowing more freedom to explore his first love of music again. Jeff was instrumental in planting the original seed for what would become The Horny Toads, offering much of the inspiration and heart within the group as well as his songwriting talents.

The Horny Toads are a Tulsa, Oklahoma bar band playing an eclectic mix of covers and originals in styles of rock, pop, blues and punk. Bred from the heartland states of Oklahoma, Kansas & Missouri - these Okey rockers have quickly risen to become a popular act in the Tulsa club circuit. Formed in 2005 with founding members Jesse James, Keith Hough & Bobby D - The Horny Toads have been delighting audiences with their high energy guitar-driven music along with their entertaining antics and well known demand for crowd participation ever since. They released their first studio quality recording simply titled "The Horny Toads EP" in Dec 2007 - as well as filming videos to accompany the new CD. But make no mistake - their first love is performing live for their fans and laying out their unique brand of dancing party rock.
